Andúril

Andúril is the name that Aragorn gave to the blade Narsil after he had it reforged by the Elven smiths at Rivendell. Narsil was the sword wielded by Elendil during the battle against the Dark Lord Sauron, three thousand years before the present time. It was shattered in the battle, but after Elendil fell, his son Isildur took up the shards and cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand, allowing the combined forces of the Last Alliance to win the day.

The blade is now borne by Isidur's heir, Aragorn, and serves as a rallying point for all Middle Earth against the new threat of Mordor.
